Cooking brakes, got wheel room? How about one of my 12.2 or 13's withe 1.10 rotors rather than the standard .81? If you're really cooking them then the need is more mass rather than diameter.
The newest hats I have done now will accept the wider rotor without the back spacing of the rotor being compromised. (i.e. .81 rotor with .825 hat = 1.10 rotor with .525 hat) Actually this is not that new, I was using the narrow hat for other applications and we changed the bolt programs a bit to accept both a five and four lug. You can do the new .385 hat with 1.25 rotors too- Maybe that's a bit much for a Contour, lol. Only changes are some caliper centering changes for the mount spacers, but wheel spoke clearance is compromised by about half the rotor width increase. Keep in mind that ANY increase in rotor width WILL compromise wheel clearance.
The FSL is simply a much better caliper, although not differential bore, than the BSL.
The narrow six is for a 1.1 rotor but can be fitted to a .81 also. When on a .81 it is about the same as the BSL or a bit less in fact. Its much narrower than the full size six. About 1/2" on one side only.
Sorry, I was asked, back to the original question...
