Can a 3L with DMD, and clevitte bearings, running 10:1 compression on 2001 pistons handle a 100 wet shot?
What about the tranny with a fidanza flywheel and centerforce d/f clutch?
My plan is to launch normally, grab second, and as soon as traction grabs in second, hit the switch.
The N20 will be behind a WOT and RPM switch, using a single NX shark nozzle just before the TB. I also have a walbro 185 (or 195?) l/hr fuel pump.
Figuring I have (on a low/decent estimate) 220 flywheel hp/tq.... adding 100 shot should put me in the 320 range.... is 12.99 out of the question? even without the juice on the line.... (i also g/c with konis and will get me some tires to help)

Don't know about the other stuff, but I'm skeptical of a 12 sec eta in the 1/4. I mean look at warmonger's time and he's pushing much more than 320. My guess is mid 13's, maybe a low 13 with good traction.
I like your thinking though. If and when I get to seriously modding my SVT it'll be a 3l and a 100 shot of N2O from a Venom system..

I dunno a 100 shot all at one time. It jsut seems like and instant shock like that might snap something.

i think traction is our #1 enemy to a good e/t... hence why i don't plan on hitting the switch until after i grab in second gear... i hope that if i can nail a 2.2 60' time i should be real damn close at the end of it all....

1. That's an understatement!!!
2. I still don't see it hooking. I can't keep the wheels under my car in 1st or 2nd already. I know Tom even has problems with 3rd gear traction and has thought about trying a Zetec final drive. (Though it only lowers your torque factor a mere 5% so it's not really going to help much anyway! )
3. With a good launch and "stockish" size tires you could go definitely 2.2 or better. (LSD, flywheel, motor mounts, etc, etc are a big bonus of course) With larger then stock tires (I'm using 215/50-16 as my base) your 60' times and launches will be considerably slower in comparison.

As for the engine holding a 100 shot wet. That is a considerable shock to the system unlike where with a VCN-2000 setup you could custom tune all your nitrous and fuel curves via laptop.
The big time wear and possible failure would be from the sudden shock. Remember nitrous normally kicks out more wheel TQ then the HP rating of the shot used!

I stand by what I said. If your so sure then build it and prove me wrong. If that happens by all means I'll apologize for knowing sh!t.
For the love, if you even think your gonna hit a 12 (which I think would be a new contour/couger high eta, someone correct me if I'm wrong) drop the "big ass stereo" then you might have a chance...
If I were you I'd go a step further and drop the powersteering, airconditioning and all the seats other than the drivers seat. Then I admit could hit this elusive 12...

I thought wider tires equaled more traction which equaled faster launches.

I had the same thoughts Kremit. However you have to take into account the extra unsprung mass of bigger wheels. I have never dragged the contour with different sized wheels, so I can't attest to the difference.
Also a nice set of drag radials would do a lot to help 60 ft times as well as overall eta. And they definetely wouldn't be stock. I think we need some clarification to this idea...
