Um yeah. Still faster than yours at this point.
Oh and I have broke into the 2.2x's twice now. When I first started drag racing 1.5 years ago I was turning terrible 60's with some 2.5x's on average later on. Last Christmas I was in the 2.3-2.4's on the stock clutch and this summer I was 2.2's-2.3's. Some of those turbo 13.9x slips were with the stock clutch mind you!
I don't take it as easy as you think, I just don't normally slam the gears that hard when I'm street driving. I usually save it for the track. On my old 98 contour SVT I sheared the clutch disc at 20K miles. 1-2 shift then bam it was a gonner.
Drag racing is progressive you know...and I'm progressively getting better. You wait till I have some traction and then we'll see!
