Ditto!
A lightweight flywheel with a new stock SVT clutch setup is the only system I would run on a naturally aspirated 3L or less.
I have pictures of my stock clutch with two months of driving a 3L Turbo on it and it looked pretty damn good. It held the power, even when I went to the drag strip with it!! That was 265 ft-lbs of torque at the wheels by the way and in that two months it never slipped on me. That clutch was about 3 years old with about 30K miles on it.
What do you other people say to that!!
I do not think it would have held the power with lots of abusive drag runs, but if I never took it to the strip then I probably wouldn't have needed to change it.
In my opinion the Spec stage1 is the only clutch I would have needed though I went all out with a stage 3. I just took my tranny apart early this week because of my current project and the 6 puck stage3 clutch looks great. The flywheel is stock and it is NOT chewed up. In fact it looks about the same as it did before I had it surfaced when I pulled the old clutch out.
