Mine did all of that when the waterpump went out. My coolant tank was gurgling spitting coolant everywhere and I had no heat. If the thermostat is stuck shut, you would still have heat because it comes from the intake rather than the radiator. You have no heat because the waterpump isnt pumping the water through the core.
