Ok after leaving my car where it was for the night I decided to try and drive it home, Being that it cooked down all night and then engine was running nice and cool I got as far as possible. A couple of things I did notice
1) The engine leveled off at at the A in normal on the heat gauge for a while before actually getting to L,
2) I had the heat blasting the whole time with nothing but cold air coming out.
3) After deciding my enginee was too hot and pulling over there was a "build up" of pressure in the collant resevior(sp?) Some coolant was coming out of the top black hose, maybe even the bottom one too I didn;t really notices and the coolant lvl was much higher then it is when the car is off anf the level is at right about max.
All this leads me towards the tstat. I am thinking it might be stuck shut which is not letting water through and could that also be causing the pressure in the coolant tank?
