Here's more food for thought; my 82 Jetta weighs well under 2400lbs, and a Rabbit will weigh less than my Jetta. We're talking CRX territory. He's more than likely making over 2hp for every pound he has to move
2 hp per lb ?
So, lets say the Rabbit is really light and weighs 1000 lbs.
so 1000 x 2 = 2000 HP. Wow. A chip and exhaust and you get 2000 HP
So maybe you meant 2lbs per HP. So, 1000lbs/2=500 HP.
Maybe your numbers are a teeny weeny optimistic.
10 lbs/hp = 2000 lbs/200 HP This might be closer to what you meant.
Contour SVT 3000 lbs/200 = 15lbs/HP
(Don't everyone correct me and tell me your SVT weighs 2910 Lbs. The numbers are for illustration).
