Okay I read the "book" you wrote on re-machining the crank and such. Also that you are swapping an engine in to get the car running while rebuilding the old.
I still don't understand why you're not interested in a 3L? When even used longblocks can be found for less than $500? That should be nothing compared to the cost of forged rods and new pistons, which you didn't mention in your "book"
