How do I know when a plug has gone bad? Does a sound come along with one going out? I know the obvious effect would be performance,but in what way? My 2000 SVT seems to be pulling fine, yet it has a slight hestitation after coming out of full throttle and sometimes going into throttle. I have had the fuel pump replaced along with the IAC valve and the throttle body. These changes cured my moosing problem and the sticking throttle, but something still seems off! Is this a plug problem? I replaced the plugs with Motorcraft finewires about 2000 miles ago, but am looking into replacing those with autolite double plats. Thanks for your help!

I suspect that you need to clean your injectors and throttle body. It is not likely that you are having problems with 2000 mile old plugs.

The throttle body has been completely replaced so I am sure that is not causing the problem. Will fuel injector cleaner every other fill up prevent or prolong clogging?

That is more often than needed. As often as every 5,000 miles is still very agressive.

redline fuel injector cleaner is used after 20 gallons fir first time then every 100 gallons. its what i do. if u get 25 mpg thats every 2500 miles.
