Yes, I did see your remark on the other thread.. thank you.

The sub enclosure material is MDF. The enclosure is made of 2 layers of 3/4" MDF on 4 of the 6 sides. The 2 exceptions are the front which is 1 layer of 3/4" MDF and the back which is 3/4" Plexiglass. The interior of the enclosure is simply exposed MDF that has been sanded. Since I compete under the Street rules of IASCA, there are no points for cosmetic integration.

That sounds like the class that I would want to compete with all of my ugly speakers I use. smile

No, I unfortunately do not have the tools or facility to do my own install. I do however do my own system tuning.

My installer is Ryan Bess and he has his own install shop in Mount Carroll, IL. He is a former SVT Contour owner (ordered one of the first 98's off the line), as well as previously owning a Thunderbird SC, Mustang Cobra, and a Lightning.

I'm sorry, I don't know him and didn't compete against him this year. The only other SVT Contour that competed IASCA this year that I know of is Anthony Davis from Michigan. I do recall judging sound quality in a silver SVT Contour at the IASCA Finals in Oklahoma City last year, but I do not recall the competitor's name. Maybe that was his?

Thank you for the kind words. Unfortunately, I do not have any pics of the front of the subs, but it is basically Xtant's Hexigon-shaped subwoofers with a carpeted trim panel.

There is also a picture of my trunk in CarSound Magazine's Competitors Compendium, which is a part of the October issue, if anyone is interested. That picture shows the amp rack open, exposing the wiring and fusing beneath.

Hey guys, here's a few pics of my trunk. I did all the work myself, so any questions you have, feel free to ask...

The last photo is a hidden storage compartment I integrated to make up for the lost depth of the trunk. It is under the sub, and you have access to it with the seats folded down. (Those are my crossovers in the middle of it) wink
