Well, the ignition module is not the issue. I purchased a new one and tried it out, and still no spark. I also noticed that when trying to start the car, the speedo jumps intermitently, leading me to believe that there is a short somewhere in the system.
After 8 long years of service, I think its time to move on to a new car.
