I'm entering into my 3nd semester of my junior year as a double major in Sociology/Criminal Justice and Legal Studies. Those two majors will automatically give me a minor in political science. In Middle school/early high school I enjoyed band and music so I thought I wanted to be a band director, but sophomore year in High School I saw on A&E one of those documentries about Cyber Crime, and this was specifically about child porn and pedophiles. Right then I decided that's what I wanted to do - but those nasty pervert pedophiles behind bars - and I've never looked back. Right now there's constant debate on if lurking and luring the pedophiles into traps is considered a violation of privacy, so that's where the Legal Studies major will come in. I declared as a Criminal Justice major as a freshman in college and haven't considered switching once. I'm aware that a degree in sociology doesn't have many job prospects, but that's a risk I'm willing to take. In the next few months I'll contact the "Internet Crimes Against Children task force" here in Knoxville and the KPD and see about internships.
