Who cares about the car, could have been a wuss driver for all you know.

and it might not have even happened for all you know, dude might not have even been racing, which is more than likly the case......

Lets test it, go post that on LS1.com and see what you find out?

I don't even care. I raced a ws6 in my supercharged tour and got my ass handed to me.

Exactly. If you don't care, why are you arguing?

Good luck against the NSX. The tour is a much tougher car to beat from a roll than from a standing start, since they are so hard to launch (2 times to the track with mine, a broken axle the first time out, and last week I broke my y-pipe in two). Equal driving skill he would take you because of the launching, imo.

OH, did someone say something about racing an LS1? I accept any challenges, supercharged, turbocharged, supra...whatever you like!

did you break the axle with the spec 3 installed? I have one as well, an I've noticed it just bites down, don't know if the extra torque binding power of the clutch wore your axle down. . .

You seem very opposed to the idea that a turbo'd SVT COULD beat an LS1 Camaro.

I'm not saying it's proven, but there are too many variables in this discussion to proclaim BS. For instance, he didnt say whether he raced from a roll or a standing start. From a roll the T-SVT would have a tremendous advantage, as we all know that the high ET's these cars turn in are due to their lousy standing start characteristics. Once moving they pull like nobody's business.

Also other people on this board with T-SVT's have claimed that they are able to pull on LS1 Camaro's and the like.

*On a closed track, SCCA Sanctioned, of course* I have hung with an LS1 Camaro. That was with the 2.5L and S/C. Unless the guy has no skill and a bone stock ride, it would be a slaughter with an SS in a heads up race. I am in no way saying it did not happen. There are plenty of Mullets rolling around with no skills and stock rides... Either way... Who cares, we are all here for a good story anyway. I say, Bravo!
The gentleman I will be lining up with has Never ran his car at the track. I am not sure if he has ever done any roadracing. I am not sure if he knows how to launch... I, on the other hand, do. It is still a FWD car, but if I can cut a 2.2 60' then I may have a chance. I have the full monty on the tranny with a LSD and SpecIII. I will have a blast win or lose.

Good Luck Rev!

My last trip to the strip I was accompanied by MystiqueSVT who recently purchased a WS6 vert auto T/A. He wound up running 13.5 at 105 with minor traction problems. His only mods were: "lid", and tb coolant bypass.

We had a slight "roll in" one could say on the back straight and from the 60-130 mph we were dead even. I was running 5psi at the time as usual as my car is pointless on anything more as wheelspin is a major issue.

My point is that anything is possible....A car not neccessarily made for drag racing running in the low 14's(that night) can be on par with a much faster car under certain conditions.

Fastest et to date is a 13.8 at 103 mph.
