svtcarboy,
They start fine, after a bit of cranking, they sound like a damn diesel for the first 15 minutes though rattling and sputtering like crazy. Evidently its common on most of them. Also takes about 10-15 minutes of slow driving before the tranny's warmed up enough to not have to double clutch into second or first (that's a mazda thing the old MX6 did that too). Oh well, at least it's not going into the shop every other week or so.
I head up to maplewood frequently, I like that shopping area better then Eagan and Roseville for some reason.
Happy Holidays everyone.

Hey whats up????? A lot here, just crazy busy with everything and the tour has put up with a lot of crap lately(been run off of the road twice in one week). Once was by a girl that just got her permit and another was by a women on her cell phone. Little damage to the tour like bumper covers falling off, but easily fixed up with zip ties again. I know its ghetto but hey it saved me a lot of damage from tearing or cracking the bumper.

As some of you know, I had reconstructive ACL surgery a month ago today and the recovery is going alright, all I want to do is get back running and jumping for track.

For the ones that dont know me, I am Mark and live in St. Paul( a block off snelling and a block from my school Hamline Univ.)

Alright i am finally out.

Hey whats up all? It does feel great to be done with finals! I celebrated a little too hard afterward and on the walk home from the bar I had a walking accident and wound up in the hospital the next morning and in surgery about 3 hrs later. I broke my ankle well enough to earn a titanium plate and 4 screws. Looks like this guy wont be driving anything with a manual tranny for a LONG time! On the bright side, the SVT will get to sit in a garage all winter... Doug I know how you feel, I guess I wont need to steal any of those pain pills from you after all I got my own. Talk to you all later.

Wow, lots of people have been through surgery lately. Hope you all have a quick recovery, and be extra careful during New Year's.

Actually it came down to my brother wanting a new truck so my parents were like(to my brother): "If you get a new truck we will pay for some of it so mark can drive it after his surgery." Therefore I didn't have to spend any money.

SO my brother got a 94 gmc sierra that is mint condition, I drove that around for 2 weeks. Glad I got my Contour back though, I don't have to spend much time or money at the gas stations.

Hey everyone, I just got in from skiing/boarding in Colorado and after an 18 hour car ride home its nice to be back. The roads in Iowa were horrible, I counted 78 cars in the ditch on a 3 mile stretch of highway in Des Moines, almost landed in one myself
Sounds like there are too many surgeries going on around here. Hope everyones recovery goes smoother than mine did. For two weeks I couldn't eat or speak and it was brutal to swallow any fluids. But I am finally over that and away from the dry mountain air that reopened the wounds from the surgery.
Andy, I am glad you got your pain pills because I wasnt about to share any of mine after this one. Unfortunately I am out of them now and because of my surgery I had to take liquid instead of pills which tasted horible!
You must have been partyin pretty hard to get yourself a plate and screws! I was finally able to drink on new years eve which was also my finals party since I wasnt able to party before.
Well its back to school for me. So enjoy whats left of a break to those of you that have one!
