I suggested the B+M due to the ease of install. The Steeda is a true "Short Throw" shifter, but it takes some real fabbing to work on the Contour. If you have the know how, that is the way to go. I have a Steeda knob on my B+M.

True, but the steeda in the group buy comes with everything that you need. No fabbing needed. We do that for you. Plus it is alot cheaper. Only draw back ithat it won't hapen until January. Me and Ray are still working out a few samll details. We will have the knobs in this group buy also.

don't mean to cause a problem but it will go right in if you take the centering spring out. I left it in and it shifts fine, just need to notch the shift tower so the centering spring can move, since it is raised because of the raiser plate

also the B&M is alot shorter then the Steeda, so for me knowing that it is a true short shifter and that the overall height is not a huge difference then stock I am really happy with the Steeda, it shifts really fast
