Hi, does anyone know if a 99 Cougar steering wheel will work with a Focus airbag (because the wheel is black) in a 98 Contour SVT? How about a Focus or Taurus steering wheel? Sorry search is off.

Thanks

I'm guessing the wire harnesses will likely be different. If you switch to an aftermarket wheel using a focus momo/sparco adapter, the turn signal indicators won't turn off by themselves though they would if you had an aftermarket wheel on a focus,, so right there is one difference... Though it could probably be made to work, just maybe some wire splicing needed.

No wire splicing needs to be done the Focus adapter works. Ask Dean Joyce for details.

Yes the focus adapter works as far as getting the steering wheel on, but rewiring, etc. has to be done to get the turn signals to work right. Ask Dean Joyce for details.
