You'll be pulling in unmetered air from the PCV breather there, probably not enough to explain a really high idle but definetly would be the equiv of a vac leak the size of how much air is being drawn through the pcv.

It is temporary. Disregard everything you see besides the wiring. No one is telling me stuff I don't know. I just need to know where the 2 connections go to which. 1 is grey and I plugged that into the vac. sol (with modification) and the other into the IAC. Why don't don't mate I don't know since everything is the same with both engines.

At the risk of providing more useless info - on my 97 the IAC and EGR vac solenoid plugs are almost identical. The IAC has a black wire with a bright yellow stripe, the EGR solenoid (little solenoid "attachment" thing that bolts to back of upper intake by the IAC) has a black wire with what looks like a pale tan or white (very dirty back there - but it's a pale light color) stripe on it. (Yes there are two wires for each plug but the lighter ones were too dirty to say what color the wires were for sure) The bright yellow stripe stood right out though.

I'm at a wall. I have the correct plugs going to the correct areas but the car jus goes to 4k and stays there. Don't have a clue on what to do. The code I pulled was for the TPS. It's like the ISC is doing something wrong.
