I don't know if I have the best beater "evar" , but it does qualify as a "beater", check this out:

Rust that goes all the way across the rocker panels, some spots worse than others

Mileage counts for something, right

Every beater has stickers to take attention away from itself, mine is no exception

Body damage is a must and I've got it, not to mention electrical tape on the middle of the tailight because I haven't gotten off my lazy ass and bought a used tailight that has the nice plastic piece there

It looks "good from far, but far from good!"

Now I know what your thinking, "thats no beater car", well heres a list of everything I had to put into the car when we got it, did I mention it came with a remote starter and the car was FREE

-tune up (plugs, wires, PCV, fuel filter)
-serp belt
-TPS sensor
-Front end alignment
-front brakes (rotors and pads)
-rear brakes, done later (calipers, rotors and pads)
-tires
-used rear bumper
-complete PM (preventive maintence)
synthetic oil, coolant flush, trans flush, air filter
wiper blades

Its going to have the p/s system flushed soon, so I haven't had that done yet, I'm slacking

When it snows, the Micra is so small it drives UNDER the snow!

you obviously haven't driven a Contour in the snow with proper tires. when I was in school i was able to maneuver around Hanover, NH in winter better than my friends who had Jeeps and Land Rovers. FWD and snows all the way baby!

i agree, now that i ahve a set of rims and sumemr tires, i can put a dedicated set of snow tires on my 14" steelies.

my car is ALOT ebtter in teh snow than my moms 4WD blazer, slides ALOT LESS, and is alot more stable

Meh. Front wheel drive sucks in the snow. Rear wheel drive is where it's at . Not only that, but the less weight in the trunk the better
