I dunno if the SHO can actually count as your beater, since its nicer than your contour . . .

My XR is decidedly "less nice" than either my contour or my mustang, lol.

Personally, I'm kinda partial to my 86 5th Ave, with peeling paint, rust starting and 88K on the clock.

Last year we had a lot of snow! This year is supposed to be the same and we've already had one 12" snowfall!

I have since cleaned up the windows. It was so bad, I couldn't see anything to the back, not much to the sides, and only marginally to the front. Now the back window and front windows are all cleaned up though .

It goes in on Monday to be fixed, now. I took it to my mechanic today, and apparently when the guy hit the curb, it pushed the entire wheel and suspension gear back and in about 2 inches . Kinda surprising, actually, since I had thought the control arms, strut rod, end link, and spindle itself would bend and twist before the subframe . Anyway, after checking it out on the lift, we agreed it could probably be pulled back enough without needing a new subframe, to at least get the alignment corrected.

That's a nice truck you got there for $900. Sub $1000 cars are where it's at

Now way...a blown HG on a ford 2.9? LoL I replaced a few of them in my time. Check the heads for warpiness, it's common. I had a 1986 B2 Eddie Bauer...man i miss it!
