I did the same thing. Looks sloppy, but how many times do you ever show off the space under your back seat? Not to mention how much easier the under seat method is.
To answer your question, the Walbro pump can be used with some minor modification to the pump housing. If you want to go this way, contact SPmotorsports.com. They sell the proper pump for around 80 bucks. If you contact Kinger here on the boards, he can send you the Walbro how-to.
Whichever pump you use, just remember to toss the disc screen in the garbage.It will just get clogged again. The sock filter inside the housing is more than enough.
