I have 110,000 miles on the original clutch in my '95 SE. I'm being as carefull as I can with it since I don't want to change it. I am planning on keeping the car for another 3 years. Is it reasonable to expect to get 150,000 miles out of it in mixed driving? What is the most miles anyone has put on theirs?

My parents had a 95 mystique MTX that they taught 5 kids to drive stick in and it was still on the orginal clutch at about 160,000 miles when my brother wrecked it.

depends on you. Lead footing & hot starts will wear it out faster than careful launches & steady driving. You can get 150K I'm sure. But don't be suprised if you don't 110K is a lot. I'm at 87 and I push it too hard I admit....

My trick to extend clutch life is when I come to one of the many stop signs around here, I try not to stop completely. I keep the car rolling just enough so that I don't have to use any clutch slippage to get going again.

I have about 88 on mine with a lot of drag racing, but she won't hold anymore after one hard launch. 150 isn't an unreasonable amount.

95 SE - Still going strong on the original clutch at 235,000 miles. That's with 3 high school kids taking a crack at it over the years.

I'm up to 178k, and I believe that's the original clutch. I bought the car with about 80k on it, so if it isn't the original, I've at least put 100k hard miles on it.

I'm at 161k, original clutch, '97 Zetec.
The clutch is fine, but for some stupid reason I have to bleed it about once a month, otherwise it wouldn't release properly. I guess this certainly accelerates wear...
It's been like that for a long time.
