yeah... that was the first audio book I tried listening to. Can't stand listening to another persons voice read a book... my mind can't invent voices for the characters etc. when listening to someone else. I think I only listened to the first chapter.
When reading te book I didn't get much past Melkor and Ungoliant poisoning the trees.... and yes the names are hard to keep track of, especially when many characters have more than one name mentioned
