Hi, I have a problem. For about two days now when I'm listening to the radio after a few minutes it starts to crack (static) then almost mutes itself. What I mean is that you can hear it playing but it's very, very faint almost like it shut off. It does this only on FM stations, on AM or when I use a CD it works fine. Anyone have any idea what this could be?

Wouldn't hurt to pull the deck out (assuming you have the $5 removal tool) and check all your connections. Maybe the antenna's connection to the deck is coming loose.

Could be the "premium sound" amplifier going south without you.

Ahhh, Dont buy that stupid remover tool, I've tooken a Stock ford stereo out of a 92 Ranger, 94 Escort, and my 95 contour a few times. Just get a metal coat hanger, cut it apart, and make 2 long even ends that will fit in the 2 holes on the sides, that never failed me! Should look like a big U, if you need more of an example, I can see about getting a picture of it.
