Here are some pics of the recent HG change i did on the V6.

Head Gasket Change - Pics

Both heads were done, Oil pump replaced, all timing chains, tensioners & guides replaced, as well as a few other components whilst i was at it. I found the source of the mysterious head gasket problem over here (not sure about the US) but as these gaskets fit other engines there are holes punched out in places where they dont need to be. The result is that at certain points around the block there is only 1/4 inch of gasket protecting the engine from the world outside! I was quite lucky as mine was blowing from the bottom left hand corner, just above the oil filter, therefore no engine damage resulted!

Took me 4 days in total, as its winter the light goes really quick in the afternoon, however the final day was the worst as temperatures dropped to -2 C

wow, your crazy for doing that in the engine bay!

i wouldnt even think of trying that, i would pull the engine!

What are Knuckles?? lol, that would be the flesh i washed off with the pressure washer when i finished huh?
