You've slipped to trash when you start adding lights just for the sake of it. So many people are doing it these days too. And what up with people turning them on before Thanksgiving?

That is pretty sweet. There is a lady in Glenview Il. that decorates for every single holiday. She goes all out for Easter, Valantines Day, ect...

Definately looks festive, and bright. 
I've got up just over 250K+ lights this year spread out on about 2 of the 5 acres we have. I'm sure most have seen the pics from years past, and it keeps growing... so much there's now an extra transformer for the current draw.  Takes about 2 weeks to run everything and we throw the breakers at dusk after thanksgiving dinner.

We have some wild houses near Redmond WA, home of Amazon, Nintendo & Microsoft. They are amazing, huge 1 million dollar homes deck out with lights, very nice to look at. saw a bunch on tv also that were in Seattle also. they said most of the people were running generators to keep the bill down. (dont blame them)

There is a house like that a couple blocks from where I live. Overdone, and totally gross. Quantity doesn't always mean good taste.
