I just replaced my cat. on the car and thought that would fix my bogging problem. Now I have an oil leak some where, a ticking sound in my lifters and black smoke coming out of my exhaust when I change gears. It kind of makes a sound like when you get water in the spark plug's. It just wants to bog out and also my check engine light blinks when it does this. Can anyone help me?????????????

Black exhaust is usually excess gas.
Check your fuel pressure. Make sure the vacuum hose is on the FPR.
If the oil smells like gas change it quick.

If no fuel pressure problem is found check the ECT, MAF, and TPS.

The blinking CEL indicates missing/misfiring. If you have never changed your plug wires - do that.
