There's nothing wrong with a "shiny" pulley. Your problem is with the press-in bearing. Ford wanted approx. $75 CDN for a complete assembly (the only way they sell it). I bought a new bearing for $6 and pressed it in myself. Your pulley should be shiny as the belt is constantly shining it up!
