Welp, i haven't attemped the angel eye mod; but i did purchase some of those acrylic rods. I slotted it up, and i have put LEDs in it. I plan on putting it on my carpet by the door sill, haven't yet, but i hope to work something out in the spring( too cold right now). I guess thats kinda related, the rods refract the light fairly well if you slot it well, and its pretty visible at night. Its kinda a pain to drill into the ends of the rod, because the heat melts them fairly quickly. But, anyway, its a very cool cheap mod if you have projectors.
