Has anyone been able to place their 10disc changer anywhere other than Trunk.
I should be getting my new changer soon so I figured I would ask.
I haven't measured yet but I was going to check out the center console. I hardly ever use it but I was thinking if I took out the black inner casing(If it comes out) I could possibly put the changer in there. Again I am not even sure if it will fit. Hmm...I'll go have a look.
What do you all think? I just don't want to put it in the trunk.
Thanks...oh and pictures are welcome too.

Under the passenger seat? I think some of the Mondeos fitted with a CD-changer at the factory had them mounted there. Only 6-disc though so I don't know if a 10 will fit.

I've heard of people mounting them in their glove box. That is if you don't need to keep anything in there.

I have a 8-disk in the glove with room to spare. At first I thought it wouldn't work either but once I got the changer and saw how small it is, there was no problem. Love it.

I used to keep my Alpine 6-disc in the glovebox, but my main concern was security. Even though the '93 Mondeo has a lock on the glovebox (does the Contour have this, 97+ Mondeos don't?) it would be relatively easy for a thief to force it open by breaking it.
My changer now goes in the boot, but I'm toying with the idea of putting it under the passenger seat since it would take some time to remove the seat to steal it.
Paul.

Ok So is it possible to mount a 12 disc Clarion Changer in the glove box? Anyone know for sure? I'd assume some cutting is of course necessary, but over all would it fit.

I use the Alpine 6 disk changer in my glove box. It's nice and handy for changing magazines. I'm not sure that a locked glove box would deter thieves.
Anything larger will not fit, imho, but I may be wrong.
