Well since John hasn't posted yet I will.
He did get the metal impeller prestone unit from Murray's. He found that on Sat.
The problem wasn't the impeller though. The stock plastic one was actually fine. The cone on the other half actually was detached. It looks like whatever bonds the cone to the casing broke free. I told him to glue that baby back together but he's probably going to replace the whole thing.
I'll let him add anything other pertinent info.
