dnewma04,
I see you are one of the multitude of anti-Bose fanatics in existence.

If you haven't already done so, you can commiserate with your fellow Bose-bashers on www.audioreview.com , but you probably already know that. wink

Some of those Bose reviews are the most unintentionally comical opinions I think I've ever read, with the possible exception of my own, of course.

Personally, I've never had the alleged pleasure of engaging in the "Bose experience" as I've not owned nor even auditioned any of their products.
However, my parents purchased a Wave Radio when they first came out & I have yet to hear any distinct difference between their $500 Bose & my own $30 clock radio
(I suspect it was the advertisements on Rush Limbaugh's radio program that enticed them to make the purchase).

I know that when I first got into home audio a friend of mine let it be known that he absolutely despised Bose products when I brought up the subject of the 901 series speaker.
I guess that was my first encounter with the phenomenon known as "Bose-bashing."

Now that I know quite a bit more about home & car audio, I can understand the aversion fellow enthusiasts have for Bose as I myself am leary of a speaker company that refuses to quote performance statistics like frequency response & instead rely solely on a marketing campaign obviously geared towards the audio neophyte.

If that's what has made them a successful company, then more power to them. I guess people just resent them trying to foist their stuff off as "high-end" equipment.
