I'm am only about 6'1" and since starting a jump workout along with lifting weights three times a week I have gained about 7" on my vertical leap in the last year or so. So I would say that ya you have a chance to dunk if you keep workin on it
Any recommendations for a jump workout? Books or website. I'm 5'8" so I have a lot of ground to make up for.

I'm not a ball player but I did play a lot of competetive beach volleyball when I was younger and I had a pretty good jump back then. Here's what I did that worked really well for me:
I built 3 boxes out of wood that were 1,2 and 3 feet high. With feet together you jump up on the boxes starting with the 1' then moving up to the 2 and eventually 3' all in the same workout. Reps depends on where you are physically so you'll have to try it out to get a feel for how many to do. Basically just do it until you're burnt out. After a while you can start adding weights using ankle weights or a medicine ball or whatever kind of weights you have to use. Also, when weight lifting do a lot of squats and calf raises. If you can't build the boxes you can do it on stairs, bleachers or whatever you've got available to jump on. (not the hood of your car though ) This method helped me out a ton back in HS. Or, you could just buy some Air Jordan Nikes, I heard they automatically increase your jump by like 2 feet.
