I've had my SVT valet parked twice, and both times I told the guy how to put it in reverse before he got in the car.

im extremely hesitant about letting anyone else drive my car, i wont even let my dad drive it. Just think; i feel this way about a contour. What is everyone thinking just handing over the keys of a more expensive car, say a new ferrari to a valet? I wouldnt risk letting a valet park my car. It's not that difficult to walk back thru a parking lot.

What about just buying a B&M short throw shifter? Would that solve ur problems or is it worse than that? I installed mine last year and love it.

I had to replace the shifter cable at Ford today. I spoke with the valet company and they claimed they never touched the car, since they didn't move it from the front of my sisters building. Looks like, I'm going to have to take this to small claims court.

My car has a B&M. I think that was part of the problem. The top of the shifter doesn't have the R circled. I'm going to take out the reverse lock out.
