I have a 96 Sport with the V-6. I replaced all the oxygen sensors and spark plugs and wires. I also took the upper intake off and cleaned it along with new gaskets and such. Cleaned the throttle body and egr passages. The light has not come back on. The exhaust still has a faint sulfur smell to it. While my 90 Lincoln town car doesnt smell like anything. Or my chrysler. Is this normal?
Thanks
Blaze

I had some weird smell from exaust, i took pressure washer and did a through wash underneath the car, and washed the engine compartment, I had oil on something under the car, (think its part of the cat. converter, the thing that looks wrapped up in wires) Well, the smell did go away, smells like a normal exaust system.

Catalytic converters will cause a sulfur odor.
However, before jumping into those, switch gas stations for a few tankfulls. Make sure the stations do not get their deliveries from the same tanker truck. Occasionally, a refiner does not remove enough sulphur when refining to gasoline and this can contribute to the odor you have described.
There was a service bulletin a few years back in which Ford released upgraded cats to help with this problem.

fwiw: If raw/unburnt gas gets past the exhaust valves it will eventually hit the hot catalytic converter and can cause the sulfer odor mentioned.
