I bought one and noticed absolutely no difference.

I still kept my old one. I've also never had any issues with my rod bearings or oiling.
I ran the old one the whole time my 3L engine was in the car and a few months with the turbo. NO ISSUES from 1999 to summer of 03 when I changed it. The old one was starting to get a tiny groove from the lip seal but still wasn't leaking at all.

Is it better? I have to say that it does have the potential to be better because it can damp out more resonances than the stock one, but I don't think there is any proof.
I wouldn't buy it if there is nothing wrong with the old one or if you are only buying it because you are scared of the bearings going out.
I'm about 99% convinced the bearings go out because of oil starvation and not crank whip.
