i want to get rid of my stock headers when i redo my exhaust system in Feb of next year. right now im trying to figure out how much i need to save, aka bassani exhaust (like 600-700 shipped), highflow cat (100 shipped), optimized y-pipe(???), and headers. i prefer they be legal if possible and have everyones opinion on whatever there is.

On your car, headers would not be legal because the stock exhaust manifolds include cats. Headers do not. Many have used headers anyway. If you do install headers, you will have a check engine light unless you add MIL eliminators to fool the rear oxygen sensors (cat monitors) into beleiving that the cats are still there.
There has been a lot posted about this topic in the past and with a little effort on a search you could learn far more than I have posted.

MSDS headers come with the y pipe and MIL eliminators!
also, DO NOT buy the weapon R headers, they are a total POS and waste of your money!

You should also be able to save some money by NOT going with the catback you mentioned. I got a huge magnaflow resonator, two dynomax turbo IIs, and lots of new big diameter stainless pipes for $500 installed, no shipping to pay. Used the stock tips too. So it looks stock, sounds stock, but breathes like it wants to always be above 5000 RPM. If you can forego the seduction of pricey brand appeal and noise in exchange for cost-effective power without attracting cops, it's a no brainer. You'll need the saved money when you buy and install the headers.
Meanwhile, do a search and consider another alternative: true duals.

yeah ive wanted true duals and just get better, deeper tips then the flowmasters. i was thinking of getting the headers and getting the local muffler/engine shop my friend works at to do some pipes. which is too hard lol. ill search for true duals.

Keeping doing your search until you come across pictures of a laid out true duals system or two.
