the other day the roads were real slippery and at one point I had to slam on my brakes reall hard. and when i did i thought the car had stalled, but it didnt. At the time i had my defrauster running almost full blast, and my radio on. after slamming on the brakes, the ABS light came on, and all my panel controls stopped working, there was no power to the heater or anything, but my radio was still playing. it turned out that i blew my "heater power/ abs" fuse. if u look in the fuse box, its the large yellow 1 of the 3 closest to the middle. it was a pain to take out, cuz we didnt know there were screws underneath to take it out, so teh prongs are left in there.

my question is where are the screws to the yellow fuses, and how do u take them out, im about to go down to a dealership and get raped with charges cuz i have no idea, and i dont wanna do that.

According to the manual, all fuses are push fit. No one is screwed, it wouldn't make sense. Maybe you broke the fuse and you are seeing his guts.

I'll check myself to find out.

nope, i just finished it after like 5 hours of pain. theres a small tray that contains 3 bigger fuses, there yellow. and theres a tab that lets u pull it up. the tray is extreeemmeellyyy hard to pull up, it goes up slowly but its such a b!tch to do, i never wanna do ti again. but there are screws going into the prongs of the fuses on the side of the tray, one on each side (making 6 all together for those who blow in math). i had to use a wrench to get at them and take off one of the relays to get another, i almost stripped one cuz there were so tightly on and badly placed. but i put a new fuse in there, it didnt fit (too high) but it was 60 amps and now the heater runs fine and the abs light turned off. i jsut saved myself 100+ bucks cuz they do a diagnostic when they change fuses at dealers and those cost alot.
