That would be Juan Pablo Montoya. He and Gordon swapped cars to run the road course at Indy as publicity for the USGP in September.
Gordon lapped 1.3 seconds slower in Montoya's Williams/BMW; Montoya was 1.1 slower in Gordon's Chevy.
The best time set by Gordon in his own car was a 1:38.8; the best time from Montoya in his own car was a 1:15.2. "Somewhat close" was 23 seconds slower, over a 30% difference.
