Amen to that - frikken NASCRAP!
It's one step above demolition-derby, in terms of technology, in my books. Yet, I'd rather watch demolition-derby over NASCAR, any day.
I haven't watched the video yet.... but I hope you're not serious about the technology. NASCAR uses more technology than you'll probably see in street cars in the next 15 years.

Probably comparing it to F1, which makes the sport look like Soap Box Derby's at the local Boy Scout troop, at least in terms of technology...

You're so right! Just look at what NASCAR has! No engine management system No fuel injection No overhead or multiple camshafts No multiple valves No variable valve timing No distributor-less ignition No monocoque chassis No carbon or aluminium chassis components No carbon or aluminium suspension No carbon or ceramic brakes No independent rear suspension
Each of those have been on street cars for nearly a decade or more.
Oh wait, you must be talking about the technology surround the trailing arms--the SAME trailing arms found in my 1972 pickup.

Isn't a little unfair to post what NASCARs don't have and not put what they do have??? Just because ya'll don't like NASCAR doesn't mean it's the devil.

I'm wanting to hear the answer to this one too!
There's just something wrong about letting the pit crew run around with bicycle helmets on.

OK, I am NOT a Nascar fan, but to paraphrase one of the high ups in F1 (can't remember his name exactly), they have enough technology to run at 9000+ rpm for over 500 miles and not blow their engines. That's enough tech for me.

They have in car cameras. I don't have that technology in my car. *sigh* High-tech for sure, though.

9k. Yippee. F1 idles at that. The Judd V-10 in sportscars turns 12k for 24 hours.
