I had McNuggets a few weeks ago for the first time in probably 5 years. Damn, they are too nasty. Wendy's and Burger King's chicken strips at least look and feel like actual chicken meat.

I read somewhere (I think in Fast-Food Nation) that McDonalds can claim that their hamburgers are "100% All Beef" not because they're actually all beef, but because the company who makes their patties is called "All Beef, Inc".
I would say that in that instance, their marketing department is actually fairly smart!

the way they used to make mcnuggets:
they would take all the leftover chicken parts, put them in a large bowl with holes in the side, then spin it really fast (think washing machine on spin cycle) until any meat left would exit the holes and only bones/cartilage would stay in the bowl. The meat is collected and sqirted into molds to form a shape, then fried.
i dunno how they're made now.
