Moxnix,
About Quixtar. I had never heard of it either until my hub's cousin told us about it. It IS Amway under another name, even though they'll tell you left and right that it isn't. Now, like I said, my hub's cousin does Quixtar, and believe it or not, they have made so much money that she was able to quit her house cleaning business and stay home and just do Quixtar. I think it's great, but they got lucky and her hub makes a KILLING selling energy bars and vitamins to his co-workers.
Basically, what they do is, someone gets you in. You have to buy up to 50 PV points a month to get anything back. That means, depending on what you buy, you will be spending at least $150 to get $4 back. Where you make your REAL money is by getting others under you to buy that much as well, and you get points off them, and whomever else is under you buying. Your goal is to basically have whoever is under you, pay for what YOU buy each month too. The more they buy, the more money you make. IF they buy consistantly.
That's the key.
Now, the products are great, but overpriced BIG time. They try to charge $20 for a case of toilet paper you can get at Walmart for $5.
While we are still a part of Quixtar, I only use them for certain products like their laundry stuff. It's wonderful products. Well worth the money. A big box of their laundry soap lasts our family of 4 around 6 months, and I wash almost every day. The pre-stain treater(like SHOUT) is fabulous. Got out an ink pen mark my son made on his martial arts white belt over a year ago.
If I were you, and you guys are great sellers, and I mean you can sell ice to eskimos, I would give it a try. If you know people who are really into vitamins, energy drinks, and protein bars, you could make a killing off Quixtar products. Their stuff is good. Believe it or not, the energy drinks actually help kids with ADHD stay calm enough to do their work without the aid of meds. My son tried it and it worked, but they are expensive.
So, that's about all I can tell you. Take it for what you will. Try it if you like, it's like a $90 start up fee, that comes with your Quixtar membership, a pack of samples, and your business license and insurance, because once you join them as an IBO(Independant Business Owner), you are a business legally. It's up to you to make it work. It's not a bad fee to start, and it's legit. Then, if you just decide to do like us, and stay with it just to buy what you need every once in a while, it's $30 a year. Not bad. Good luck with whatever you decide.
