well according to the guys that developed the product...not only is that filter out of the engine bay, but the intake tube itself is noticeably colder and there were significant temp drops.
How would that not be a benefit to you?
Also, I have a short ram intake now...living in AZ it gets pretty hot during the day. And you can almost feel the performance drop, especially compared to taking the car out at night after a days rest. The cooler air gives it a little more zing, wouldnt you like to have that extra 'zing' all the time rather than just at night or cool weather?
Plus, it still looks cool

Also if you guys check in your engine bays, I believe the intake goes right where the fuse box is at now...right after the wheel well. So thats a little more protection from those hot engine fumes
