my svt's engine just went to hell, lost a piston screw or some [censored] and they said noone would fix it so i have to get a whole new longblock. grrrrr not even mine for a month

Why dont you try going to a engine shop to see if they will fix it. Do you happen to have a place called "Accurate Engines" by you, if so go there, they will fix anything.

131 large :-)...and the peeps at the stealership and the place where i go to get mah [censored] fixed said noone will touch the insides of. and i trust my mechanics. but its a great deal with the new engine. 3100 w/o labor but has a 3 year warranty. so i know ill have a good engine until i pay the car off

There's a guy up outside of DC here (I think he's in Manassas) that's done at least one 3L conversion job. Goes by DanG on the boards. Post in the CapitolCEG forum and ask for help, and I bet you can get sorted out easy.

sounds like what happened to me. had the car for a month, 40K miles...loose wrist pin...lotsa noise...new engine under extended warranty.
