had the car for a month, 40K miles...loose wrist pin...lotsa noise...new engine under extended warranty.

I have the same problem with mine. I had 51760 miles on it and i started to here a knock. So i called ford custimer serve and i found out that i may qualify for fincial assistance. I have to bring it into the dealer have them conferm there has been no abuse. i.e. not putting oil in , then i will get 40% of the warranty cost. Right know my est. cost is $1562.52 And i could be less. I taking it in this tuesday.

What! Ford actually wants to help! Hmm I wonder if someone knows about SVT oil starvation.

This is what I have been told. If you run these engines just a pinch low on oil and lets say make a sweeping right turn on a ramp of a freeway; all the oil stay up in the head and the bottom end is starved for oil and then you get problems.
Thatâ??s what happens to me. I never had an oil light go on or anything. The day it happened I check the oil and I was 1 quart low. Back to your csvt call ford customer service 1-800-392-3673 tell the person on the phone youâ??re not the only and if they need a example give them myvin#1fafp68g5xk178551
This could help us both out if ford knows for sure that we are not the only ones calling with this problem
