I just left the spring out like Ray told me when we talked on the phone. It made shifting slightly easier if it did anything with it out.

I'm interested, but I'd really like this to happen soon, my OBX broke again (3rd time) and I want something new!

Well,
I will be leaving for vacation in a week and we are having a hard time to find a guy to amke the plates for us again. Ray changed shop and someone at his old shop made the plates for us. It will most likely happen after the new year or when we can find a guy to make the plates.
Later,
Eric

Is this still gonna happen? Doesn't seem to be getting a lot of posts this time around. I hope I didn't miss out by not getting in on the first one.

It was more of a guaging interest post than a real GB. Me and Ray will discuss things over shristmas and a week or two in to January we will open up a REAL post to get the GB going. We are hoping to get some pics of the Steeda pedal covers to show you guys and adding them to the group buy. Basically Ray can get anything from steeda that you want but we want to keep it simple to the "Cheaper" things that Steeda sales.
Keep your eyes out as there will be an offical post about the GB in a few weeks.
Also, I CEG'er that is a machinest (sp?) has offered to do the plates for us and WE WILL HAVE PLATES FOR THE 2000 Contours also. He will do them for the same price as beofre. He also constructed the 2000 plate mod himself for his car. I will let the CEG post his name if he wishes.
Thanks for showing interest and it will happen, don't worry.

Yes but how long will this take. I may get impatient and shell out the extra money just to have it sooner. I am used to a short throw in my car and I have to get back to that soon!

there is a very big difference between the Steeda and the stock shifter. I was thinking about this the other night when I was driving the other 99 tour we have.
The Steeda is about an inch to a inch and a half shorter then the stock shifter, and to me take a 3-4 shift, the distance the Steeda moves felt like 3-neutral on the stock shifter
