I've had my 1998 V6 5 speed for about 3 weeks now. When I got it, it had a really bad wobble at about 100km/h(60 mph) took it into the dealer I got it from and he said the rear wheels weren't balanced when the new tires got put on. The rear tires were shot. No problem, they replaced them on friday morning. Now the wobble is still there. Not as bad as it was before though. Any thoughts on what it might be? The brakes are all new, rotors and pad. They were put on before I got the car.
It's driving me nuts because I really want to open the car up on an open road but can't I don't want my rear wheels flying off due to the wobble.
Thanks, Brian

I wouldn't take my car back to a place that neglected to balance both rear wheels. But, where is the vibration coming from? I.E. Is the vibration through the steering wheel, or through the floorboards/pedals? Here's a good place to start: Vibration Diagonosis Flow Chart

That can be a pain, Hey I work in the Tire & lube at wal-mart. I would check to make sure that they bolted the tire on correct, otherwise you can have one part of the rim not in contact with the hub and that will cause it to do what it's doing..

also if you dont put the lugs on in an x shape, it can cause wobble issues...it also could be your imagination!

Sounds like the front tires to me then. If the tread is low, I'd change them too, otherwise, just have them high-speed balanced.
