I read the other posts and they have great info on what type of replacement lights you all prefer and where to get them and how much they cost, but they also mainly covered the fog/driving lights. I would like to take a step back....
Question: Using the Sylvania SilverStar as the example on a 1997 Tour.
The low beams are 9006 and the high beams are 9005's.
Can you put the 9005's in the low beam socket directly (do they work as a direct replacement) and will they work with the stock low beam wiring? Does one need to worry about heat damaging the lenses or anything else by doing this?
Thanks for the input.
Tim.
