If you have a four cylinder the you have to get a jack stand and a block of wood.

You need to put that underneath the engine, then remove the engine mount of the top left side ( left meaning if your looking at it directly, not left meaning if your sitting in the car), remove that, release the tensioner, then remove the serpentine belt, then the alternator, then put it all back on in reverse order.

P.S. dont screw around to much, that is hard on the other engine mounts by not having all of them on.
