So far, everything at the new job is working pretty well. I'm doing sales and sevice on Apple's wonderful product line. Macs don't take much effort to sell, the demonstration of everything you can do is great. Having my PowerBook G4 with me helps, as we generally don't carry any machines in stock. We've been ordering the eMacs because they usually sell the same day they come in. The best part is that I feel valued, the customers appreciate my manner, and best of all I don't have to lie to people every day anymore. Though, I also enjoy the fact that once I've resolved the issue, I don't have to get the customers in touch with telemarketers ala AOL.
I learned a lot while at AOL. It sucked, the company isn't too great, and it was irritating to get in trouble for things like checking to see if I'm being monitored when my computer starts running poorly or treating the customer like a close personal friend. If anyone in the Tampa Bay area is looking to get a mac, or needs work done on their mac, come on down. I work over at Ray's Connecting Point in Clearwater.
