Whatever happened to "sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me"?
It can't be psychologically healthy for people to take offense at all the things they do, and it's downright sad when it's due to ignorance (ie, the man fired from the DC government for using the term niggardly--go look it up and tell me how that could be construed as offensive).
